Andrea’s Home
The refurbishment of this London apartment offered the opportunity to showcase Andrea’s own personal design aesthetic. The period property overlooking Clapham Common showcases his elegant signature style, with a subtle nod to his Tuscan roots. The impressive Victorian apartment features a calming colour palette, with textured linens, tan accents and carefully chosen contemporary furniture.
The apartment’s architectural heritage features elegant high ceilings and period details, as well as its proximity to nature and south-facing sunlight create a soothing and calming environment. Andrea embraced the property’s architectural quirks whilst also incorporating more contemporary fittings and fixtures for a timeless luxury look. He partnered with textile brand Chase Erwin who supplied a wide range of fabrics.
The main living area consists of an open-plan kitchen diner that overlooks the living room, all positioned around the south-facing bay window that basks the apartment in sunlight. The room offers a luxurious yet comfortable space to host family and friends. The walls are painted in Benjamin Moore’s White Dove, a subtle warm white, creating a calming, neutral backdrop.
The apartment has one master bedroom situated at the rear of the property, along with a spacious bathroom and multifunctional walk-in wardrobe come study space. With the bedroom being north-facing and therefore slightly darker, Andrea wanted to ensure the space was a serene and snug space to unwind. To achieve that atmosphere, he selected deep blues and warm grey hues for the walls and soft furnishings. Walls and wardrobe doors are painted in Blue Note by Benjamin Moore.
